Love Growing: Brook and Justin's Paso Robles Maternity Photos
There are sessions that feel like work, sessions that feel like art, and then there are those rare, magical sessions that feel like pure privilege. When my best friend Brook asked me to capture this precious chapter of her and Justin's love story, I knew we were about to create something incredibly special together.
Among the Vines
East Paso Robles' vineyards provided the dreamiest backdrop for Brook and Justin's maternity session. Row after row of lush vines stretched endlessly in every direction, creating natural pathways and intimate alcoves perfect for celebrating their growing family. There's something so fitting about capturing new life among the vines and landscaping of Paso Robles– both representing growth, nurturing, and the beauty that comes with time and care.The rolling hills and endless greens and golds created a sense of serenity that perfectly matched the anticipation and joy radiating from these two soon-to-be parents.
Golden Hour Magic
We timed the session perfectly for that legendary California golden hour, and mother nature did not disappoint. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, it cast the most gorgeous warm light across the endless landscapes, making Brook's pregnancy glow look absolutely ethereal. Every frame seemed to shimmer with that magical quality that only golden hour can provide.
But honestly? The light had nothing on the joy these two were radiating.
Laughter Between the Rows
Here's the thing about photographing your best friends – you already know exactly how to make them laugh. Brook and Justin's session was filled with those genuine belly laughs that make your cheeks hurt, excited whispers about their future little one, and tender moments that had me tearing up behind my camera (with a lot of love and from a lot of laughter).
